Scar Release
Therapy

Scar Release Therapy is a non invasive treatment that uses microcurrent point stimulation to address scar tissue, pain and reduced mobility of damaged tissues

What Is Dolphin MPS?

Dolphin MPS Scar Release is a microcurrent-based therapy used to soften and remodel scar tissue—including C-section scars and breast surgery scars—with the goal of reducing pain, tightness, numbness, and cosmetic concerns.

The Dolphin Neurostim devices deliver very low-level electrical pulses (microcurrent) to the skin. These pulses are applied to:

  • Acupuncture/trigger points
  • Scar tissue itself
  • Surrounding fascial lines

How Dolphin MPS Works on Scars

The technique attempts to reduce nervous system stress, break up adhesions, and improve tissue mobility—especially from C-sections and breast surgeries—can create:

  • Dense adhesions
  • Restricted fascia
  • Nerve entrapment or numbness
  • Pulling sensations
  • Pain during movement or exercise
  • Postural changes (common after C-section)

Dolphin MPS uses microcurrent to

Increase microcirculation

Improves blood flow and lymph drainage around the scar.

Reduce scar adhesions

Microcurrent helps soften hardened collagen and increases tissue elasticity.

Reset irritated nerves

The electrical stimulation influences the autonomic nervous system, helping reduce hypersensitivity or numbness.

Improve fascia mobility

Can relieve pulling or tightness patterns that travel far beyond the scar.

Better posture and abdominal function

Especially relevant to C-section scars that contribute to pelvic tilt or core dysfunction.

Dolphin MPS for C Section Scars

C-sections often leave multiple layers of scar tissue—skin, fascia, abdominal wall—leading to:
  • A “shelf” or dip in the scar area
  • Difficulty engaging deep core muscles
  • Tingling or numbness
  • Low-back, hip, or pelvic pain
  • Pain during intercourse (if fascial lines are involved)

Benefits specific to C-section scars:

  • Softens the scar to improve abdominal mobility
  • Helps reconnect sensory nerves to reduce numbness
  • Releases deep fascial adhesions that affect the hips and pelvis
  • Can improve urinary urgency/frequency linked to fascial restrictions
  • May reduce the “tugging” sensation with stretching or exercise
  • Many clients notice improved posture and ease of movement after sessions because the abdominal fascia becomes more mobile.

Dolphin MPS for Breast Scars

Breast scars may result from:
  • Augmentation
  • Reduction
  • Lumpectomy
  • Mastectomy
  • Radiation therapy
These scars can restrict the chest wall, leading to:
  • Shoulder tightness
  • Reduced chest expansionPostural changes
  • Nerve sensitivity or burning
  • Lymphatic congestion
  • How MPS helps breast scars:
  • Increases soft tissue mobility across the chest wall
  • Reduces nerve hypersensitivity
  • Improves lymphatic drainage (helpful after mastectomy or radiation)
  • Helps restore comfortable shoulder and arm movement
  • Reduces pain and pulling sensations along surgical lines

How Soon After Surgery Can It Be Used?

Usually 6–8 weeks post-op, once the incision is fully healed and you have medical clearance—though therapists may begin with areas around the scar earlier depending on your case

What types of scars do I work on?

  • C section scars (old & new)
  • Breast scars (augmentation, reduction, *cancer)
  • Abdominal scars (appendectomy. gallbladder removal)
