What is the pelvic floor?
The pelvic floor is a network of muscles, ligaments and connective tissues that support the uterus, bladder and rectum. It is the foundation of stability, continence and sexual health.
What is pelvic floor therapy?
Pelvic floor therapy is an evidence-based treatment for a variety of conditions resulting from dysfunction of the pelvic floor.
Pelvic floor therapy can support you during pregnancy by strengthening of the pelvic floor in preparation for labour, help prevent prolapse and/or urinary incontinence, and support posture, comfort, and healthy movement as your body changes.

They also examine the lower back, hips, and sacroiliac joints, as these areas can affect pelvic health. This thorough evaluation helps create a targeted treatment plan.
