Acupuncture
Supporting your fertility journey
Acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine that dates back 3,000 years. It uses fine needles inserted in various points along the body to tap into energy centers. Acupuncture has been shown time and again to benefit multiple stages of the fertility journey.
Dr. Carly N.D. includes acupuncture in her treatment plans for fertility optimization, hormone and menstrual cycle imbalances, pregnancy related symptoms & conditions, birth-day preparation, labour enhancement, headaches/migraines, anxiety & stress, and localized pain & healing of injuries.
Cupping
Cupping may be used in conjunction with acupuncture or as a stand-alone treatment for a variety of symptoms. Cupping is a safe, non-invasive way to increase local circulation, bring healing nutrients to the site of injury & reduce inflammation to relieve pain. It is safe to use with children, adults, while pregnant or breastfeeding and with any medication or chronic health issue. Cupping may be recommended for neck and shoulder pain, back pain, sciatica, tendonitis of any small joints and scar tissue release.
Fertility, Pregnancy, Birth
Acupuncture uses a whole body approach to positively influence and enhance female and male fertility by increasing blood flow, nutrient delivery, balancing hormones, and reducing any restrictions affecting the free flow of qi (energy).
Dr. Wendler N.D. has advanced training and experience in applying the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine to naturally enhance fertility for both those at the beginning stages of family planning, to those in the midst of medical fertility treatments.
Dr. Wendler N.D. regularly uses acupuncture to enhance & support fertility, reduce pregnancy related symptoms (e.g. nausea and vomiting, high blood pressure, insomnia, and anxiety) and prepare for your birth-day.
Clinical studies show acupuncture increases blood flow to the reproductive organs, plumps up the uterine lining, and stimulates egg production and release, Acupuncture has been clinically shown to: improve egg and sperm quality, sperm motility and volume, implantation rates during IVF cycles, and reduce risk for pregnancy loss.
Dr. Wendler N.D. also incorporates a blend of acupuncture and moxibustion for breech presenting babies to try and encourage an optimal head down position, and to encourage the onset of spontaneous labour in the hopes of reducing medical interventions and their sequelae.
